Basic Webhosting Package

Light Hosting for $6/month includes the following:

1 GB disk space
12.5 GB/month data transfer
Unlimited subdomains
Unlimited email accounts (POP3/IMAP, including SSL and catchall/forwarders) powered by modified qmail with SpamAssassin, includes horde/IMP and SquirrelMail webmail, oMail account manager and ClamAV virus protection. Server-side spam protection through use of the SBL and various other DNSBLs.
5 MySQL databases (version 4.1) with phpMyAdmin
Modified Apache server software (version 1.3.33, all .htaccess options)
PHP scripting language (version 5.2.3, mysqli and other cool stuff enabled)
Perl 5.8.8, Python 2.4.2 suExec'ed CGI
Lightweight web-based account manager
DNS hosting (using djbdns)
FTP, SCP, SFTP and FTP with TLS supported

Please note: all packages require you to already have a registered domain name. R1 Hosting does not provide domain registration. For cheap domain registration, we recommend Gandi (EU) or GoDaddy (US). R1 Hosting is designed for individual use; it is not possible to host multiple domains on one account.

If you require more disk space or bandwidth than this basic package, you can simply double the monthly fee for double the disk/bandwidth etc. See the signup page for the full list of pre-defined packages.

*Technical support, such as help with how to FTP to your server, how to password protect directories etc is NOT PROVIDED. R1 Hosting is aimed at experienced web users who are familiar with how to use web hosting ('low maintenance'). The only support given is for server issues such as forgotten password, request a module/program to be installed or an issue with some of our software not working as it should. If you would like a similar service but with a control panel and complete technical support and help, I recommend one of the following providers instead: apis networks.

Getting Started

Please see the signup page for information on our different packages and for full details of how to go about getting an account. All monthly payments are made using PayPal Subscriptions. Refunds are available for up to 14 days after signing up if you are not satisified with the service, subject to resource usage.
